EMC MoodSwing - Sound Analysis in Max/MSP

MoodSwing is a sound analysis patch we developed as part of our final uni project. It returns information from a track on its 'reflexive' effects (dynamic,rhythmic and frequency based events that incur a culturally independant or instinctive response, i.e. tension created by a crescendo). This enables us to return helpful information on how to boost the reflexive potential or 'power' of a mix. All information is analysed based upon extended research into the areas of emotional response to sound. More info is available on our site:
