I remember seeing these while watching "Get Smart" reruns on TV 20 back in the 80s.
-
i guess this channel for the dogs
-
Marty Sherman and George! I loved those old Saw Mill commercials. I just uploaded one from 1989.

@apawstate Lets not forget Frank Verducci. He was the founder and owner of Serramonte Ford, Located 999 Serramonte Blvd. In Colma/Daly City. In business since 1970. There slogan "we want to be your car dealer at serramonte ford"

The dogs are back. I think they came back about a year or two ago to KOFY TV 20. (And if your not from the Bay Area, they pronounce it "Coffee TV.") Now after reading this may you all have sweet dreams about 3M Carpet, Bob Wilkins and the Perfect 36.

Sean King did spend some time on KNTV11 in 2000 right before it became NBC11. Now Sean King is the annoucer of KDOC-TV 56 in LA
-
I thought that voice was Sean King, the announcer for TV 20's Dance Party, and some of the KTZO/KOFY commercials.
-
Was that the love boat?
-
other people remember those bar tending school ads! Also, don't forget Control Data Institute "your future's just a phone call away", and the Furniture USA guy("Bye Kids!").
And, don't forget those public service announcements!
BRING BACK CHANNEL 44 AND IT'S ANNOUNCER, VERN WILSON!

Thank god TV 20 is Back and James Gabbert is back. If the Late Pete Wilson has 2 successful stints on ABC 7 then James Gabbert will have 2 successful stints on TV 20. The bad part about tv44 it is a CBS O&O along with CBS5. CBS has more money and 44 Will be secondary CBS Station.
I seem to remember a woman's voice whispering "stereo!" at the end.
Thanks for the nostalgia.

Actually, I think it was Jim Gabbert's voice.

WOW! Very high quality. I wonder, how did you manage to keep it that way?

It was originally recorded from a good Cable TV signal on a Panasonic semi-pro VCR on TDK's highest grade tape at "SP" speed. Then sat upright on a shelf all these years, not being used or viewed. Not climate controlled, but then S.F. doesn't have many climate extremes. Partly just luck, too, I suppose.
