Families At War Reeves and Mortimer game show Part 5 of 5

Running only one series and never released on video, Vic & Bobs Families At War pitted members of opposing extended families with each member challenged to perform his or her special talent. The results were then judged by a different jury each week and the winning family had the chance to win a bunch of prizes in a very.Vic and Bob kind of way. Although the series featured many family members who performed, more specialized talents were also on display as in this episode which includes a boxer, a long distance runner and a beautician. This was my favorite episode and features special guests The Beautiful South and Leo Sayer (best good sport of all time? You decide)

What a truly bold piece of TV Families at War was, in the days before Cowell got his hands on Saturday night TV. About 60% of each show died on its arse but the spider game is a thing of shuddering surrealist beauty.
