********************************************************

"Come Fly with Me" is a popular, American song (1957) composed by Jimmy Van Heusen, with lyrics by Sammy Cahn. Van Heusen had a passion for flying and moonlighted part-time as a test pilot during World War II.

"Come Fly with Me" was written for Frank Sinatra, and was the title track of his 1958 album of the same name. The song sets the tone for the rest of the album, describing adventures in exotic locales, in Bombay, Peru and Acapulco Bay respectively.

It subsequently became part of Sinatra's concert repertoire, and would feature in numerous live performances.

The song is featured in the opening sequence of the movie Little Voice. It was also featured in the 1992 mini-series Sinatra, which was a TV movie about the entertainer's life and times.

Since it's infancy, "Come Fly With Me" has been recorded several times by many recording artists, including: Michael Buble, Westlife and Robbie Williams.

  • haha, well done Serg!

  • @ILuvDepp :)

  • Reminded me of Dammy Savis the Third.

Lots of energy and damn if it wasn't mighty powerful. My tip of the day.....stay with the Chairman Of The Board. It's easier on the vocal cords. It does portray your humorous side though Serg.

PS.....You blew out one of my speakers!

  • @SinatraGuy007 Note taken, JC! Ha Ha! However, singing like a maniac is too much fun! Sorry about your speakers, but I feel accomplished, in a way. :)

  • HAH. it's like a cross between bing crosby and nino martini. always exaggerrating the damn songs. hilarious.

  • @eepghd Ha Ha! Thanks, Em! Glad you "got it".
