I've always loved this song. I'm English. Go on shout. Everyone else does. But like most English people I'm a mixture of races. A mixture of English, Irish, Scottish and Romany. I've always loved this song. It brings a tear to my eye even now. War's just so futile. It happens when governments fail. This is possibly my favourite Dubliners song ever.
