I used to sit and watch my brother play this game when we were very young. This was an awesome game and thanks to watching my brother, I beat the whole game! I miss it so much! But I always asked they have lungs so how can they breathe underwater for THAT long? My brother tells me it's just a game. Still! :)

The best part of Donkey Kong Country's sound for me was the very subtle sound effects. They didn't overshadow the music, they didn't overdo anything, they made it clear when you got any sort of item, while keeping the mood in tact.

Brilliant game. 100/10.

thank you so much for bringing back so many lost memories. i couldnt help but drop a few tears. I used to play this with my closest friends and family. they are no longer here but when i watch videos like this, theyre sitting right next to me...thank you again.

This game was and is just simply amazing. The way the music fits the mood of the stage; how you were amazed at secrets within level that you had no idea of. You actually felt like you had completed something when you reached the final level and defeated K. Rool.Even afterwards you just wanted to restart and play it again. :(...I am glad I dropped my 360 controller down and picked up my snes and played it. I never felt so teary eyed.

@watchm3shine that is what games were about: fantasy, imagination. Something you would not be able to even think of seeing in reality, you know? an escape. that's almost gone nowadays. Now it should not even be called a game anymore more like an interactive action movie.
