well, that's very heavily suggested, but i believe that romero himself has said that nothing is ever pinned down as -the- reason why the dead are coming back to life.

Great review. I love the mask and the fact you did this in black and white. As a final note, of course this movie is not going to be as good as some of his later works simply because it was the first of its kind.
