@cwhale06 a woman did die; in Muscatine County, 20-miles away; by the same storm; I think the tornado touched down again; it was kind of up and down.

I was in that tornado when it hit, scared shit ever, you cant hear anthing though when your in it because of the air pressure.

i lived in iowa city and went to school at grant wood where i think the tornado started at, i moved to CR after the flood in 93, i remember this happening in 06 cause my brother in-laws were working at Carousell on Hyw 1 and they called my sister and said that they could see it coming acrossed they airport and that they were taking cover, then the phone went blank and you could hear glass shattering and people yelling...... thank god not a lot of people got hurt

I was at my brother's house off Lower Muscatine Rd. when that happened. I'll never forget the sound when it hit downtown. Just happy no one died in that one!
