the better clamp is the stainless,non magnetic,look for tight spacing,you have a little more adjustment,also look for the flat band,no spacing all around,doesn't cut into hose,distributes the load evenly.I use fuel injection style,a full flat band and use a 1/4 drive to snug them a little bit past hand tighten.Run vehicle all day,next morning when cold,recheck and tighten,they contract and expand,like you said

I thought that Ideal was a good hose clamp. But with a good Matco nut driver I think you could strip out alot of them. Might try 2 clamps or cut a inch off the hose. There is a true hose clamp that would work. But its a little diffrent than the worm type you have. Hope it helps and that you are doing well with a possiable family loss man. I'am still here!

Everythings made cheap now for sure! I've had that problem before also..II wish I had stock piled clamps years.. LOL As you know we're still praying for you..Take care & God bless you and your family.
