Originally done by The Five Sharks from the Bronx. I'm not sure where The Reminiscents are from, but I've got a feeling they were a NJ group.

  • well i am intrested in who JCinaz1 is i dont rember him as I was one of the Reminisents also nadinedeck@yahoo.com

  • Hopefully you can connect with each other and figure it out :D

  • Wecut this in 1966 or 1967 (don't remember exactly). We also cut a second 45 on a sister label, Day Records -- Zoom Zoom Zoom (originally recorded in 1958 by the Collegians). Flip side was Oh Let Me Dream. And we had two cuts on the final Best of Acapella, Volume 7 (Relic Records). Then life started interfering and we broke up.

  • Thanks for the info.. That makes a lot of sense since Danny Marcella and Jim Day produced your records (Marcel and Day labels). I haven't found the Day 45, but hope to find one sometime soon. It's a shame you guys broke up. You had a really good sound

  • You guys did a great job!! on this I always thought the haunting quality lent itself to an organ and guitar,

  • I agree Eddie. They did your song justice

  • @nadinedoowop, it's not nice to try to take credit for someone else's work. You were not one of the Reminiscents. The Best of Acapella, Vol 7 (Relic Records) has our picture on the front of the jacket and our names on the back. You, Bill Maddocks, were not one of us.

    The Reminiscents

  • For the record, nadinedoowops (someone named Bill Maddocks) was NOT one of the Reminiscents, although he has apparently been passing himself off as such. The Reminiscents were: Angelo Naviello (lead), Judy Steinhart (first tenor), Walter "Buddy" Kritsky (second tenor), Bobby Sibilio (baritone/bass), and me, John Costa (bass/baritone). Our picture is on the cover of The Best of Acapella, Vol. 7 (Relic Records), and our names are listed on the back of the jacket.
