The same Gliscor ended the previous world record holder's streak at 2363 (Peterko from Smogon).

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2373717&postcount=1689 - Description of why I did what I did in this battle, is all found in this massive post I made at Smogon.

........ I'll have revenge on the Tower someday. This was 20 battles lower than my record. Probably using Drapion next time. Gliscor is the ultimate counter to most Trick teams, basically.

Music used in the video:
1. Final boss theme - Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
2. Final boss theme (first phase) - Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
3. Mini-boss / Metroid Hatcher battle - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

  • wow, Gliscor got REALLY lucky with that instant death move. yeah, i also suspect the AI to cheat at Battle Frontier due to my own experiences. i only play casually (with EV training) but the Gliscor i trained is awesome! too bad i didn't teach him any attack moves, lol!

  • @olimond It's not too late to teach it some attack moves, lol

  • we all know that the AI cheats, but you did some stupids mistakes, like using charm twice against and hypre cutter gliscor (unless you were sacrificing your togekiss, whicg it werent the smartess idea, either)

im 99999& sure that the programmer gave the AI more chance to land a critical hit and OHKO moves like horn drill,fissure,etc....thats bullshit

  • @ChrisTheBest1992 In the video description I linked to my Smogon post which explains everything I did. Do you really think I'd do something that 'stupid' if I was able to get a 293 streak with a Togekiss team? Of all my Pokemon, Togekiss was the safest to sacrifice, because switching out would potentially be a sacrifice of whatever I switch in. The main reason I lost is that Hippowdon is of the very few Pokemon in the game that can survive 2 of Garchomp's Outrages.

  • I'm using

    Lucario

    Gyarados

    Garchomp

    Wanna ask why?

  • @walliice Not particularly... it's quite obviously because they're good Pokemon, lol.

  • @DrDimentio I love Garchomp, I have one of my own (Jolly SD Sweeper) and it's powerful as hell after a SD. But I believe any respectable Steel type with decent defense could take a 3 turn Outrage from Chomp. Even Choice Banded. Dedicated Physical walls with alot of investment like Skarmory, Registeel, Bronzong, and Metagross could sponge Outrages all day. I see Skarm doing it best though, since it has access to instant recovery with Roost.

  • @DrDimentio understood

  • @Matheuspokelover That's why in my video description I have a link to my Smogon post where I explained my actions in detail... I had to sacrifice Togekiss since its other moves were riskier or equally useless, and switching to another Pokemon would've let Gliscor KO one of my actual attacking Pokemans, which I couldn't afford to lose.

  • why charm twice? if you knew he had hyper cutter
