I have long contended that the feet have as much character as the hands. You see hands in art all the time, but rarely feet. :(
Your work is on tinted paper, isn't it? A nice touch, to be sure...
Do you ever add hightlights, with white charcoal? Just curious.
One more (possibly dumb) question: when do you stop, to prevent overdoing it?
