Today I'll unbox the hottest SSD on the market right now. The new "generation 2" model of the Intel X25-M. I'll also show you the adapter you need to mount it in your case

  • What would be the better deal, this drive or the WD velociraptor? (not looking @ capacity)

  • This drive will KILL the Velociraptor for performance.

  • I saw more Mount unboxing than SSD

  • Yeah I agree.

I guess a big part of the reason I wanted to demonstrate the mount was that it gives a much better "for scale" comparison, as well as helping viewers appreciate the compact size of an SSD and how they can install more drives in the same space.

    Wanted to make that point.

  • I have the very same Intel X25-M second generation, and it's my best investment ever.

You'd notice the difference once you have gone back to conventional HDD, after using the SSD for a month.

If someone took away my SSD, I'd cry !

  • Is this drive still good compared to newer drives? I just need one for my OS. I'm looking to pick up a used 80gb that someone has for less than $100 where as newer drives such as OCZ 60gb are $115 + tax + s/h

  • Will this SSD work better/faster than the OCZ Agility 3?

  • Stacking SSD-drives seems fun, but isn't that going to get hot?

  • I just got the X-25M 120GB and it's awesome. Boot times are insane. Just imagine always putting your computer to sleep and waking it up. Mind blowing.

  • dude sounds like a chick

  • 00:08 it's not just a LITTLE BIT faster, it's MUCH faster than the traditional HDD

  • isn't that a 2.5 to 3.5?

  • Hi, are these hard drives for installing software only? what are they for and what are the benefits?

  • that SSD will fit inside my Phantom case ;D
