Well, unfortunately, I don't have the disposable income to fly back to Hartland just to see the Michels' production of Sweeney. I wish I could, alas! I hope Paige and Emily and everyone else breaks legs though!

Ahahah, obviously. The Music Hall doesn't have a trap door or anything Sweeney could rise out of. It looks like the gravediggers are miming digging and pouring dirt.

So, here's a quick little story about the original production - Len Cariou was in the grave at the beginning to rise up at the end of the ballad, and the gravediggers were throwing real dirt in there. The dirt billowed up and got in his throat, and when he sung, the dirt scratched his vocal cords. That's why he sounds so raspy on the cast recording. He never got back the beautiful sound he could make before Sweeney, unfortunately.
