This is the second video of the simple hexapod robot with two continuous rotation servos.
This video demonstrates the construction of the three leg system (except the last step which is the actual placement on the robot. The last step is shown in video part 3).

  • where do you get those rotating motors??

  • These are continuous rotation motors and are from parallax

    You can get them even from eBay or other sources

    You can also buy a standard RC servo and hack it, in order to convert it to a continuous rotation. The hacking procedure is little different from servo to servo

    For the robot you see in the video you can also use standard dc motors with gearbox

  • Κατάλαβα ποια εννοείς.

    Εγώ προτίμησα να χρησιμοποιήσω τον ακροδέκτη μιας διόδου ισχύος. Με μια πένσα πίεσα τα δύο άκρα (αφού πρώτα τον πέρασα στην οπή). Αυτό ήταν αρκετό για να μη φεύγει από τη θέση του. Στη συνέχεια στράβωσα τα άκρα που προεξείχαν ώστε να "κλειδώσει" ο αρμός.

    Με αυτόν τον τρόπο υπάρχει η δυνατότητα περιστροφής χωρίς να χαλαρώνει, αλλά και χωρίς να κόβεται ο ακροδέκτης.

    Πέρα από αυτό παρέχει την δυνατότητα εύκολης αντικατάστασης, αν ποτέ χρειαστεί (π.χ. σπάσει το ένα άκρο).
