@im1knight This is just a guess, but I believe they stopped accelerating the vehicle, so the battery has nothing to "assist", since they were basically just coasting.

Thats normal, engine is revving wat do you want to hear a freaking ticking noise
-
i am starting to like the car in a way better that the civic hybrid though the new one is nice

my cat purring makes a louder noise >.>

Ugh I hate CVTs

when you accelerate, it uses the full power of the engine because the battery is too small to support.. once you reached the speed that you want, the engine will rev down again... You can also reach the speed that you want by accelerating slowly, so the engine doesn't rev that high.. I guess there's enough video on youtube showing people driving at 120km/h with low rev..

@im1knight i agree... i feel like the battery should give its max output to assist with the accel... that's the reason you buy a hybrid... so that the engine doesn't have to work too hard and use less gas....

Sound does not mean anything...You can be driving a S500 that has a huge 5.0L 306HP V8 and it sounds the same as a Honda Insight...all depends on how the vehicle is made.

why did the battery assist turn off when it hits 6000rpm?
-
@Batmanshack i agree
I like the sound. I don't know why so many reviews have bashed it for being too noisy. I, for one, have no problem with engine noise at all, and I despise cars that emit very little noise.
