Recently we took a home that was for sale in Sunbury Cove (18 McKenna) and we were amazed at how easy it was to get that sort of rent.

These are seasonal rentals that rent for 8-12 weeks during prime time June-August.  Off season the rents would be reduced in some cases. Of course the ability to bring in that income would rely on your marketing and business skills; like any business venture. I have one client that has 5 homes on the go, and does quite well with all of them.

Michael, shame on you! How many homes are renting for this kind of money?

Your average of $2800. is based on what? Off season and winter rentals? There are not many beach homes accessible year round.

I own a beach house on the Island - a vacation rental and rental rates are not as you indicate. Even with its' beautiful SunsetsAndSeaLights.

Wow, I have to admit I am very interested. My husband and I live in Raymond, Alberta. Our dream is to buy an acreage, have a hobby farm, and my husband wants hills, water, trees etc on the land. PEI looks beautiful, and doing this rental idea sounds fabulous!!!!
