http://www.wolfems.com Knock Detection and Sensing is far more important than many engine tuners realise. It can be just as important to get set the best ignition timing when tuning an engine as it is to get the correct air fuel ratio.

  • Great clip...I just got the basic and spent the afternoon setting the timing. Great tool!!!

  • Good demo. Always wanted to know what filtered detonation sounded like.

  • ahh, so thats what a knock filter would sound like to and ECU.

  • ive always wanted to hear what it sounded like

  • is there any guide where to place knock sensor ? (for nissan vq35de , rb26dett and honda f20c)

  • nice clip!

I used to be Knock Control System engineer for short time. Reality, there is more engine sound with it so it is hard to detect but well if ig timing advanced, knock gets heavy and noisy. so you have to retard ig timing but in that case, exhaust temp gets high so you might blow Cat convertor.

  • Wow sounds like its Hailing inside the engine!

  • Excellent clip

  • WOW , nice .

  • SO thats what real engine detonation sounds like.
