  • Sounds like a Bad Cat...Just never cared for those Amps...Had a Panther and got rid of it quick...It was the Main Cat's Amp with EL84's...just didn't sound right to me and it had Tube Rattle like a Bitch in the EF-86 Channel...

Try a Victoria Golden Melody! It's Great...

  • @mojostrat58

well, I don't think that the Panther model has anything to do with the Classic...

Both in sound and in tube configuration and features, nor does the Victoria model you mentioned.

Different tube types, speakers, EQ section, etc...

Besides that, although I owned two Victoria models in the past, I don't think that the inner components and the parts they use, justify their price...

I mean, come on, the Classic costs less than $1500 while the other costs almost thrice that amount...

  • beautiful tone. what open coils you got runnin there?

  • these are two VooDoo,model '59 alnico 5,when I decided to make the Green mode and removed the nickel cover to flip the magnet,I happily saw that they were creme,so I left them open like this for a "beano" look..

  • @sjctuber There's two kinds of out of phase, electronically and magnetically.

Electronically is like on a 2-P90 guitar where the middle of 3 settings is hum-cancelling. The Green Mod is the latter and only works when they're both on, and turned up around 8-10, they sort of fight each other a bit. It's eerie.

  • ur p-ups are out of phase, correct? maybe I'm drunk. hope so. badcats sound amazing because they hide nothing! everything is loud and over- pronounced and very "present". awesome if your an amazing player. not so much if you play like you do. no offense. thanks for the clip!

  • don't know why this one doesn't have a great rating...sounds very nice to me!

  • huge cd collection on that chair....nice amp too

  • sweet!! who did this mod for you? i have a bad cat 2 tone that goes awesome in front of other class A amps, but ive heard with a small mod (filter caps and resistors) that the pedal truly sounds the way it should. any suggestions?

    thanks alot

  • thats awesome. the great playing will make any tone great, but great playing combined with that.........bliss.
