Fifth Estate - The Three Best Songs from DING DONG...

Here's some great garage pop from The Fifth Estate, taken from their one and only album, DING DONG: THE WITCH IS DEAD:

1) "Kisses for Breakfast"
2) "Tomorrow Is My Turn"
3) "That's Love"

I can't help but think that the great guitar sound on "Kisses for Breakfast" is quite reminiscent of George Harrison's lead guitar on the REVOLVER album.

You know, the guy singing the lead on Ding Dong, sounds like the lead singer of the Tokens..also, .i dont hear his voice on any of the other songs by 5th estate...input pls...

Furvus told me to tell you you're right! Except he says they stunk INCLUDING Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead !!! He says they played so many late sets and then toured so intensely that they NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO SHOWER. So must be that a lot liked the way they stank!!?? So possibly listen a little more and maybe your taste and smell will improve? Aside from Ding Dong and a couple of others they were basically rock n roll. Maybe that's your difficulty.

Just hope you might get this. I'm Robert Simko, Waynes 1st cousin from the paternal side. My maternal grandfather, William H. Wadhams, was Waynes paternal grandfathers brother. That's a mouth full. I use to be at Waynes, every weekend, in Springdale, watching he, Doug, Bill, Rick and Fervus solve 'unsolvable problems' from Engineering magazines. Taking breaks to play music. Went to their first local concert. Married a girl I met there. So sorry to learn of Waynes death last year.
