Christina has had polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), multiple cysts in the ovaries, since she was 16. She describes her experience of PCOS, the symptoms and possible long-term effects such as infertility
There is something really wrong here. Millions of women in the Western world are suddenly not able to eat stuff that our ancestors only 50 years ago seemed to have no problem at all with. It doesn't make sense. The human body was designed to be able to get fat and still function. In fact, fat women should be MORE fertile. No woman I've heard of has yet been able to cure her pcos permanently so as to be able to eat normally & still be well. So the cause still remains hidden.
@Lubbcookie There is a naturopathic approaches for PCOS, it is sometimes posted on eighter the on the 4chango channel or Hevnawe Channel in thecomment section.
Ladies - I know there hasn't been comments on here for months -- but I would like to share something. I have PCOS and have been struggling with it for many years. The best thing I have found so far is the support groups. Type in PCOS on Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc etc. The women on these social networking sites are AMAZING and there is so much encouragement for everyone and a lot of success stories and sharing tips and helpful ideas! Good luck, it isn't easy but it's worth it!~
@prettyface777 it can be hereditary but, it can also be random. I was the first in my family to have it. I have an aunt that has Endo and we believe my younger sister has it. Diabetes does run in my family so I wonder if others had it but were mis-diagnosed.
i am fat hairy with thick black hairs on my face, no motivation to diet or excercise. I take metformin and tabs for high BP. I have the cream vaniqua which does not help but one positive is that i take provera for the first 12 days of the month. this helps with regular light periods
@Lubbcookie that is THE best thing a woman with PCOS can do for herself and this condition... loss weight. It is a slow and steady wins the race kinda battle since losing weight with PCOS is slow and challenging.
