  • I found this speech in Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson and I think it shows perfectly her wish for gay and lesbian soldiers to have the right to serve in the military regardless of their sexuality and being open about it, and who better to get this message across than Lady Gaga. <3 You should not be discharged from the military based on sexuality, but based on who has not made contribution to their units, and those who do not work well as a soldier.

  • Whether you are a women or a man, or gay or straight does not define who you are as a whole. There are gay and straight men who would not work well in the military. Believing that gay men can't work well in the military carries the assumption that the people you are attracted to defines your personality as a whole. Gay people and women are just as varied and unique as straight men. It is simply ignorant to believe otherwise.

  • @LiWaLETHALITY You are not born gay or straight because if that was the case then say your father or mother and their father or mother and so on would be gay as well its their environment you are brought up in therefore it is a choice on which you can change it just takes a lot of will and want to change not just say so.

  • @MrLogicalBrain Sexuality isn't a choice. It's something that someone is born with. It's how the brain and the body respond to stimuli. People don't decide that they're going to be straight, gay, or bi. If it was a decision that could be turned on and off, then there would be a lot of people I know who wouldn't be gay. They are treated like crap, they cry, I've known someone who hated herself because she was gay. She wanted anything to change. It's not a choice. It's who you are.

  • @LiWaLETHALITY Yes people deserve equal rights but when you are trying to ok something that goes against another persons moral value you going to start some trouble weather your intentions are good or not. So people can not be upset or judgmental towards a person that does not agree with them, you also have a week argument because blue eyes are a physical trait not a choice

  • @MrLogicalBrain It doesn't matter if you're announcing you are gay. People deserve equal rights, don't they? If my religion said that blue eyed people were unclean-- then what right would my religion have to take away their rights?

People who are angry use what they can to hurt other people. If someone was angry with a gay soldier- they used to have the ability to 'out' them and have them discharged from service.

Asking for equal rights is never a cry for attention.

  • what i don't understand is why do gays in the military want to be out so bad you don't see straight men and women in the military running around letting everyone know there straight to me this hole gay pride thing is a cry for attention
