  • how much? what are the specs? and what series was it built for?

  • for sale

  • Was this a former truck series motor? they run a 305 cid limit in numerous circle track truck classes on the east coast FYI

  • It's got 2 more distributors on a valve cover, neat.

  • looks like a class circle track claimer motor with the turn left pan... and that holley 4100 will work a whole lot better on a small displacement motor that a standard 4 barrel.... you can over carb an engine easier than under... idle sounds nice and crisp throttle... im jealous

  • I got a 350 in my Rx7 but it broke from my abuses, so now its time for a different engine and since my neighbors got a 305 for sale I am gonna make this engine exactly like Popular Hotrodding did in their 2007 issue sead link! 370 horses cheap! and a 6100 redline is just what my 700R4 likes on hte 2-3 shift.

  • on 2 barrel? come on man get a nice holley 4 barrel

  • I am assuming the motor he showed us is either raced in a class that limits displacement to 5.0 liters, maybe stock bore/stroke [if its a 3.7" bore]...but most likely he is making 305 cubes in a way chevy never did with a short stroke and bigger bore. Otherwise I couldnt imagine why you would race a 3.4"x3.7" SBC.

Needless to say, I've been wrong before and don't know it all...

  • @Duncan2037 Not a small-bore 305cid. They have the standard 3.484" stroke, and arent gonna handle anymore abuse, as far as I am concerned. Now if you are talking about a short-stroke 302cid (3.00" stroke and 4.00" bore) you can rev it to the moon (even the one-year two-bolt mains) and have fun all day.

  • man for a 305 that is bad ass what heads n cam do u have in it an how many horses is it pushing out???
