This installment of "Positive Vibrations" will be highlighted with the world premiere of "Oh What a Joy" from the forthcoming Wingless Angels II album on Keith Richards' Mindless Records. A long time denizen of Jamaica, the Rolling Stones guitarist has been part of an ensemble of musicians including Hinds called Wingless Angels, who have gathered sporadically on Jamaica's north coast since the 1970s to play hand percussion and chant Rasta hymns. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1997. The new Wingless Angels album, slated for release in September 2010, has Justin Hinds's final vocal recordings

  • "Oh What A Joy"

The best song that I know that he wrote was "Oh, What a Joy and a Comfort."... that's Justin, it really expresses the man himself. He's a diamond." - Keith Richards

    Thank You Keith Richard's!

  • This sounds like it was recorded at 5AM after a party and all the musicians are wasted.

  • Good Stuff - Shows Keith's diverse taste in music which is exquisite

  • Thanks Keith, read your book and checked out the Wingless Angels - Hooked by the end of the track and love the sounds. Many thanks

  • This stuff is amazing.I haven't been able to stop listening to it since I found it. It's now an integral part of my journey. Keith, you did so much good.

  • Simple & Spiritual

  • Yoko Ono should be there taking notes.

  • according to the Richards Book, (which is quite fantastic), this thing is recorded with an 8 track and mics aimed at the wall to pick up the sound from the room, and not micing each individual source. Sounds pretty good that way doesnt it? The guitar sounds particularly excellent. great stuff. looking for the album right now.
