The Big Fellah off of Black 47's 1994 Home of the Brave.
Intro Lyrics:
Mo chara is mo lao thu!
(My friend and my calf)
Is aisling tri nallaibh

  • the neal joedan flick was very good, they did a good job and theres a line in it where mick says im sorry i dident bring back the republic but no one chould have. The IRA at the time was short on ammo wepons and men, they were almost defeated.. i think mick knew this and went to england to get what he chould. the movie is great check it out

  • @phatforrest yes it is very interesting and a little depressing at the same time. and i dont know if this still true, but the GPO still had the bullet holes from 1916. ive not been there in over a decade.

  • hell ya good to hear the republican spirit is alive and well through mr larry kirwan god bless ya and up the public

  • I know I'm going to ruin this song for myself by listening to it to often. Oh well fuck it ;)

  • the lead singer Larry Kirwan is from Wexford republic of Ireland. More of A Irish American band then a native irish band that made thier bones in Ireland then came over here uhmm FN U2. Larry pretty much tells how he came over and joined a band.

  • black 47 greatest irish american band ever. did not get here because of SOA, but happy for all the people who did. was stoked to hear the song on SOA i thought yes now people will listen to this band. listen to every thing Black 47. black 47 ant the dead are the only bands i can listen to forever and have been. Larry Kirwan is also a talented play write and has written a few novels.
