  • hi doctor Brown, my dad just underwent angioplasty and doctors placed 3 stents inside his arteries. he had no idea that he had heart problems until he felt really really tired all day and sometimes couldnt even walk.

do i also have a risk of the condition he developed. he is 45. and i am 23.

    thanks

  • @marinerheart

You are at a higher risk of heart disease because of your dads early onset of coronary artery disease. When it comes to heart disease risk factors, you have factors in your control and factor out of your control. continue...

  • @marinerheart . Yes your risk maybe elevated from people without a family history of early heart disease. But remember your genetics load the gun but your lifestyle pulls the trigger.
