1979 Mr. Frick -- Holiday on Ice

No skating collection would be complete without MR. FRICK -- long time ice show comedian. I think he was DEBBIE THOMAS's favorite skater.

My dad was also part of a GREAT ice clown duo for Holiday on Ice in the late 60's and early 70's before i was born. His name was Jim McGlocklin and went by the name "Tex" and his partner was Lance. If anyone has any video or remembers them please let me know. I have never seen there act other then him recreating them for me when we used to skate every sunday growing up.

i remember seeing mr frick at gaslight village in upstate ny in the mid 70's. he was on a very small rink, and getting along in years, but was still as sharp and talented as ever. i remember also when frick and frack would to the comedy bits at the barrel jumping contests in the 60's.

This film is priceless! What a great man. Two more amazing ice clowns were Paul Andre and Johnny Leech who skated as a team with "Holiday on Ice" for years. Wonderful men who kept the laughs coming! I will never forget Paul as Cleopatra! Does anyone have videos of these two that could be shared?

New things come on YOUTUBE, all the time. We keep an eye out for them. We have no Mr. Frack yet either (Frick and Frack)...Anyone who can help, should post for us! Tjbissett, My mom was a Dwyer girl too. also used to be one of Colin Beatty's "wives" . Maybe we've met ;-) Glad to see other Follies memories being shared!
