  • our "universe" was created from i quantum fluxuations. I cant tell you how it works but our universe is not all of existence because their are an infinite amount of parallel universes, where the laws of physics are slightly different, things like that

  • That is an assumption, and has no clear scientific backing. It is merely a theory, there is more evidence for the existance of God than there is for the notion of parallel universes.

  • The only evidence for your God concept is in the scriptures themselves. Hence circular and mythical.

There is no such thing as creation. Are you created? Are cars created? No! ALL is assembled from existing matter.

Creation is just a concept. No example can be shown for it. It was conjured by the monotheistic Abrahamic religions. The ancient Greeks already knew the universe was eternal and evolving.

  • Yes, the creationist's misuse of scientific theory is consistent with their skewed views of reality and enormous leaps of logic that no scientist would ever make.

But then, - If they were able to reason properly they wouldn't be believe the crap they do in the first place.

  • @Newagegamer3018 God is an assumption even if the universe has a begining theres no need to say 'God did it'.

  • @Newagegamer3018 There is more evidence for your inability to spell than there is for the "existance" of God.

  • @Newagegamer3018 actually the idea comes form superstring/M theory I believe where string vibrations control the fundamental aspects of our universe...the math behind the theory allows for different configurations and thus differient physics, and the theory is that universes COULD exist with different laws.... although we can not yet directly observe them the theory is that gravitational effects could be felt between the two universes.....there's a large video series on youtube about this

  • all religion is bullshit with no proof , these bible bashers are idiots & will do anything to defend a fairy tale thats nowt but farcical used as a crutch 2 deal with every thing that scares them. sorry 2 say we're all gonna die & then all thats left is gettin eaten by maggots so grow up & live ur life 2 da fullest, i hope soon it will be eradicated only then can we move forward & build a stronger society & evolve

p.s. listen 2 jim jefferys stand up routine

  • Being an atheist, I feel qualified to answer this question.

My answer is this, and it's very simple:

I do not know. And I'm not afraid to admit it.

The question for believers is this: What makes them think they know the answer (that God created the universe) when they have zero evidence of this? In fact, how do they even know such a thing as "God" exists? Scriptures don't count because they're man-made and all of them can be interpreted in a way that fits the scientific evidence.

  • @Newagegamer3018 If He "originated" space then "He" can't "dwell" "outside" of the universe because "outside" is a spatial location. If "He" "created Time" and thusly has no beginning or end, then "He" is always and forever. So by the same logic if "He" "created Space" then "He" can have no location (inside or out) and is thusly everywhere and/or nowhere.

  • @Newagegamer3018 The multiverse hypothesis is a legitimate interpretation of observed quantum phenomena. The majority of what theists and atheists argue is just theory.

I don't see how their is more evidence for the existEnce of your notion of the socalled Christian God than there is for the notion of parallel universes. And perhaps its possible that both could be true.

  • @apocolypse11 the smell

  • Even if this universe had a beginning and "someone" "caused" it then that in no way proves Christianity. The "someone" who "created" the universe could be any one of an infinite number of gods and deities. Maybe it was made by 54 of 673 gods. Maybe it is the dream of a child in another dimension. Maybe it was Brahma. Maybe it actually was Jehovah but Jesus was a charlatan.

One thing is certain, if there was a beginning then it didn't occur 6 thousand years ago.

  • Reading some of the more advanced materials from societies with more sophisticated civilisations gives a more abstract and lofty description of the nature of things. Peruse the writings of the ancient greek philosophers or the great chinese sages. These are texts and scriptures written by learned thinkers who were not necessarily trying to get their point accross to illiterate peasants and farmers.
