  • Have not a problem w/ Springfields made in Brazil.Found the stainless needs a good lube job on breaking in. You might want to consider buying a Widjet from Brownells. Good for taking out ejectors-firing pins, and your trouble with slide pins.Works on many different firearms.

  • @DeanZoil I have yet to have an issue with mine, but I only have a couple thousand rounds through it, at this point. I like how I can put any quality ammo through it and it still shoots like a champ, even dirty. Thanks for the recommendation on the Widjet ;]

  • I'm not at all ashamed to admit that a girl helped me with this. Thanks!

  • @m1ghtysauc3 Me too I use a piece of plastic or wood, Instead of a screwdriver to hold down the plunger in removing it, As to not scratch up the metal on it,? Works for me.?

  • Say Destinee you should try out the glock models they are a really good gun to play around with and one more Wi gun lover giving you a shout from a hour south west of Madison but great videos look forward to seeing more of them

  • Great video but the only thing i saw was wrong is that you should always pull the clip out first then clear the weapon, because if theres a round in the clip you just rechambered the gun, anyways great video.

  • My kind of chick!

  • @FateofDestinee Well you are sexy, and I'm sure alot of people would agree. I believe knowning about weapons is another reason for that.

  • My favorite 1911 is a asian spin-off, can remember the producer, if I can remember correctly it was recambered to 5.7mm FN or another eastern caliber

  • @FateofDestinee Not sexy in a ditsy blonde sort of way, but sexy in an intelligent, studious, and to use some other commenters words, "sophisticated." And now you have that dance video. Oh, no, what's the world coming to. Poor Hickok wishes he was 40 years younger.

  • @FateofDestinee Ma'am, if you weren't all that, I wouldn't have said that. Any guy would be lucky to have you. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, I'm already taken, I just tend to compliment beauty and sophistication when I see it.

  • @FateofDestinee That's a good idea too.

The pen method I seen it working ona Norinco 1911a1 Sport. Anyway you still need to use the Allen wrench to unscrew the cap. Don't do it with the hexagonal pen because it will break.

What I still don't get is why the pistol need all that hard-to-take-apart paraphernalia of guide rod. That is not how J.M. Browning designed it. Probably it absorbs recoil a little.
