@iloveyes1 Of course. I must say if Peter(*) is the Mozart of pop, and Guy is the rightful heir to his throne, in my ears. I think elbow's music is a lot closer to P.G. than Genesis (pre - Abacab Genesis) ; especially on an emotional level. And I am not talking of greatness in the sense of composition or skill (sure I would have 2 mention Pink Floyd and King Crimson then), but also in its notion of connectedness.

(*) who is my all time favorite Solo artist, followed by Regina Spektor

@realraven2000 Ok...just hear me out. Their greatest influence was GENESIS. Check out the band pre Steve Hackett calling it quits and Peter Gabriel's departure and you may just find another ("greatest band") DO NOT entertain the thought of Genesis with Phil Collins at the helm.
