Techno City 1993 - Part 2

A documentary about the original techno movement in Berlin. This video is also of great value for non-German viewers. Just listen to the oldschool style. But what is more important than the music: the spirit! Look how people were enthusiastic about this new kind of music and compare it to the present situation. I hope you understand my point of view.

Ich habe eine Dokumentation über Techno aus dem Jahr 1993 gefunden. Neben zahlreichen Informationen über die Musik, wird auch der "Geist" der Szene bzw die Einstellung, welche die Leute damals hatten, sehr schön eingefangen. Was ist aus dieser Subkultur geworden? Warum wird heute kaum noch Wert auf die Qualität der Musik in den Clubs gelegt?

An excellent subject and an amazing time in the history of techno.

I really appreciate you taking the time to put the subtitles in the first part, Zen5656.

also es gibt ganz klar 3 gründe für den untergang dieser sache. 1. es wurde immer populärer und damit zwangsläufig kommerzialisiert. 2. im rahmen der kommerzialisierung gab es einen konzentrierten drogenmarkt. 3. die leute wurden älter und neue generationen kamen nach und haben die anfänge nie mitbekommen und den nachfolgern fehlt natürlich das gefühl der anfangstage. ich glaube auch das es einfach zu perfekt wurde. kann man im goa jetzt auch sehen. schade!
