Not finished yet, but at least running. This is my 2 cylinder inside out steam engine. Inside out because the pistons are fixed and the cylinders move. The pressurized air is supplied through the rods that support the cylinders As each cylinder reaches the end of its stroke, the cylinder engages the piston and pushes the piston and support rod so that the air supply is cut off to that side of the cylinder and engaged on the opposite end so the cylinder direction is reversed. The engine is self starting, and although it will run in either direction equally well, it will always start up in the same direction it was last turned. To reverse the direction, you must manually turn the engine over in the direction you want it to go.
