i can upload the footage on this camera to image mixer 3(the program that came with it) but from there i cant get the footage onto my computer hard drive or anything so i can't edit it or upload to youtube. can anyone help?

you can't use CS3 to edit with the canon hf s100 because it does not suppot AVCHD. The best you can get for it is premire CS4. Sony vegas 8 or higher works aswell.
