  • Beautiful rendition.....One of those songs that can not be reconstrued with as much origionality as the origional artist..........but, like Neil Young doing John Lennon's "Imagine".....this is the BOMB~!!!!!!

  • @hotstuff1178 - the original recording was by a group called The Leaves, of course.

  • The Best. version of Hendrix Hey Joe in my opinion!! Randy California plays with his heart & soul, This bands music was awesome and still is!!!

  • For the sake of clarity, it should be pointed out that Hendrix did not write this song, although he did have a big hit with his version of it. There had been a number of recorded versions before that of Hendrix.

Hotstuff was giving a major compliment when he/she called it "the bomb"...was not downing it.

  • This is an absolutely brilliant interpretation of the song by Randy. Since he and Hendrix were bandmates and Jimi held Randy in such high regards, it's not surprising to me. I want to learn that little riff that Randy plays after the opening chords that really makes the song his own.

  • Awesome!

  • 3:10 this guy was probably dragged there with his son and didnt think he was going to enjoy it.

Think Randy was only about 14 or 15 yrs old when he was asked to join Hendrix's band? I guess Hendrix didn't think he was a BOMB, nor do I. Entitled to your own opinion-we all have our own taste in music! I really like Randy's style and think he was so very talented!!! The drummer Ed rules 2!

  • Great version and one of the best. Can't beat Hendrix vocals though.

  • Wow !!! What A Trip !!!

  • The Basist Fuzzy is my dad, and I grew up with Cass
