I disagree with Sam's faith so this vid introduces a different end to series.
Al is trying to return poor Sam home. Then it's Sam's turn to bring Al his "home", which is his family.
Happy end: they both leap and appear at quantum leap project at the same time.

  • What??? He never came home? ,,,so is he just bouncing around in time still or did he die?

  • @RaeRae914 yeah still bouncind saving lives somewhere((

  • So he never returned? what about his daughter? What about Al? What about Ziggy? I wasn't born until 1994, but i watched this at school, and it intrigued me to watch it... ive been wanting to watch the ending so i knew what happened, but i cant find it anywhere, hulu nor fancast has it, so, does he ever return?

  • What do u mean u can't find it? 5th season is in the same status as all of them. U can buy or download it anywhere)

  • I can't, i watch tv on hulu, and i they only show the first and second season, not the third fourth or fifth... sadly... but does he return? I hear he doesn't, but I wish he would!

  • No, he doesn't return(

  • Spoiler...

I don't think it would be good to bring sam home. it ended with god telling sam he had the power to go home when ever he wanted.... but he kept on leaping, for the good of humanity. Sam wanted to change the word... and he does.

  • I loved this series; it was mostly wholesome family entertainment. I remember sitting with my mom and dad watching this when I was a kid. I hope to do the same with my kids.

It was never determined why Sam didn't come home. There have been rumors that either the show would be revived or a movie would be made for closure, but that's not certain.

I wish there was some closure but I suppose Sam needed to do more good and sacrifice his home. TUNE INTO iON Television 280 on Dish at 4pm for leap!

  • @AceripXF Was called TRILOGY

  • damn spoiler junkies killed it but it's actually the perfect end if you think about it. he's leaping because he CHOOSES to and making the noble sacrafice so he could do what he really wanted to do, make the world better, IS the perfect, if poigniant ending.

  • @LenokGo thanks for this bud - I'm half way thru watchin the whole thing through again,, but I'm not sure exactly what Sams doing, there was a lot of references in 'mirror image' that are only becoming apparent second time round,, but what was evident first time round is I personally thought Sam chose not to go home (even though he wanted to),, and secondly - I presume he meant home in the future where Al was living - aww, too much to say, but with the movie now being made it should answer lots

  • Thanks!

  • @kiwlinn Truly awesome theory. It never occured to me but makes perfect sense to my mind.

  • I think he meant fate, not faith.

  • The show didn't have an ending, but yes, he returns home. The show is about faith and God and technology and how the two work together. The show continues to grow as does sam's faith, and the show understands something about life, and the truth of life is that God always brings us home. So yeah, sam got home, and while many of you can blah blah blah about it, the movie that's rumored to be coming out will confirm it. Peace and God bless you.

  • In my opinion, the best TV series between 1989-1993. I miss it very much. It was so emotional.

  • Basically he never returns home. Yes, we are lead to believe he continues till he dies. BUT...because he decided to, he not only gained the power to leap at his choosing but he also leaps as himself. He no longer has to leap INTO someone else....hence why he leaps to Al's wife, as himself and lets her know Al will return to her. This was his "reward" for continuing to leap even though he didn't want to anymore and wanted to go home.

  • Just watched Mirror Image and have been pondering over it. I don't think he died the first time he leaped, but I think the leap in Mirror Image was perhaps his death. Think about his string theory. You tie the ends together, birth and death, and you can leap around in your lifetime. Since his last leap was directly at the moment of his birth, seems to make sense that it represents his death. After he fixed Al's life, he could finally be at peace, kind of like Angelita in "It's a Wonderful Leap."
