[Notes:NYPD HANDOUT of rescue]The people in the car that derailed were lowered to safety in a fire department basket. The Skyfari is never run during rain or if there is a threat of high winds. That day it was a sudden storm that hit the bronx.

a very safe old vonroll skyride.we have the exact same ride here in san diego.they shouldnt have been operating it durring thunderstorms.

I was just there today. That ride was closed. I am sure it is only temporary.
