    Frank Henenlotter is so underrated as a horror and/or horror-comedy director. His films were 80's horror awesomeness distilled into memorable, original little gems. I really miss the days of practical creature and gore effects--foam latex, slime, and red corn syrup! But far from just being special-effect set pieces, Henelotter's movies always had more going on story-wise than most similar films... we need people like him in today's movie industry!
