That was bold of them to consider The Andes Plane Crash of 1972 to be Wendigo behavior. In this case, it was an act of survival, not eating flesh because it sounded good! They were even uncomfortable talking about it when they were finally found. A true cannibal has no shame in the act of flesh consumption. They also spent a few hours discussing it before they even ate the dead and had to relate it to eating bread as the body of Christ to justify it to themselves. What they did was not evil.
