VIEW IN 720p HD - This is the first of two videos on how to copper the hull of the Clipper Ship Flying Cloud c.1851. It has taken about 400 copper plates to cover the keel and ⅓ of the lower hull. Copper plates are custom made by Blue Jacket Shipcrafters. Steve Priske - Model Shipwright

  • This is a wonderful job you are doing to such a classic ship. I am still a ways off on completing mine, but now my real Sailboat hits the water, so the model goes on hold. Keep posting these, I really look forward to them and I am Excited about the DVD.- J

  • Bluejacket is amazing and if you are ever in Maine it is definitely worth the trip. I live like 40 minutes from them and every time I am out that way I stop in.

  • hmm i'll look forward to these. I wonder why they copper plated the ships.
