Chun-nan
Night
Dark Gaia Phoenix

As Sonic goes around the planet fixing up the various continents (which, I may or may not have mentioned, has already happened in Sonic Advance 3), Sonic runs into a boss at the end of 7 of the 9 regions he visits, Apotos and Empire City being the only areas lacking a boss.

Chun-nan has the Dark Gaia Phoenix, the first Werehog boss in the game. It's the guardian of Chun-nan's Temple of Gaia but has become corrupted by Dark Gaia's power, becoming purple and oddly shaded. Unlike the daytime bosses, which are all about running and chasing, the Werehog bosses are more conventional in that you must pick up their patterns and exploit them to defeat them. (Well, more conventional in that sense only; there is some VERY unconventional way to defeat a certain Werehog boss in the 360/PS3 version.)

The Dark Gaia Phoenix would reasonably have a relatively simple way to go about its defeat. As you could probably see, the boss begins on fire, and you have barrels of water on those platforms. You just put two and two together: Douse the Dark Gaia Phoenix with water. It'll get exhausted and fly over to the middle to land, where Sonic can beat it up. Repeat this twice more to win. Of course, the Dark Gaia Phoenix isn't completely defenseless. It creates shock waves in the ground, and it can also fire explosive feathers that home in on Sonic.

One thing that kind of confuses me, though, is that during the third time, not all of the barrels have an effect. I had to throw many more barrels than three, and I know they didn't all miss.

Anyway, this marks the end of the Sonic Unleashed requests. If you want something else put up, feel free to ask for it.

EDIT: It seems some of you aren't aware of the rules for requesting things.
1. One stage per person per request. Don't be greedy and ask for a whole set of stages. That's too much and is unfair to people who just want one stage.
2. One request per person until I put up that person's request. After that, they can ask for another one.

  • It's shadow Ho-Oh! xP

  • I have to admit Overhazard you made that look too easy. I guess you had trouble when you first started and you took down Dak Gaia Phoenix with no problem.

  • this is not even a hard battle, surprised so many get stuck, ahh well, i was stuck on moray which was also easy when i knew what to do

  • I have thath game but can you say me please how to throw the water to the phoenix with wich button or how.

  • @IceFireBlast Hmm, I see. I never thought about that. Either that, or I forgot.

  • @Overhazard Oops, got em mixed up. With nunchuk controls, shake the wii remote after the werehog is holding something to throw without dashing.

  • @IceFireBlast What do A and B do? I've only used the Nunchuk controls.

  • @Overhazard Not so. Press A while holding B to throw from standstill. Of course, I use the Gamecube Controller, so I could be wrong about the Wii Controls

  • easy as cake {S} rank :D

  • thanks for uploading; just got here the other day, had no idea what to do; all taken care of now.
