A few of my favourite "love scenes" from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. The two couples are Li Mu Bai and Shu Lien, the older couple, and Lo (Dark Cloud) and Jen, the younger couple.

Coupled is the song by Coco Lee-A Love Before Time with cello by YoYo Ma.

This film was made for entertainment only, no profit is derived from its inception and no copyright infringement is intended.

I don't remember this song but right at the beginning thats cool until she starts singing, she isn't too bad but a bit cheesy for my tatses.

"I would rather be a ghost, floating by your side as a condemned soul, then enter Heaven without you. Because of your love, I will never be a lonely spirit."

If that doesn't make you cry, nothing will.

I like that kind of deep, poetic dialogue, it remidns me that some people still have brains. The music to this, and his other films is momentous

Thank you so much for posting this. I remember when I saw the movie, I came out of the theater in a daze. I couldn't stop thinking about it. The actors, and most especially the two pairs of lovers were marvelous and I loved them all. Each expression, each gesture, so full of love and longing. The scenes you chose were perfect and the music lovely.

Films are art forms sometimes, just like paintings or classical composition. The best films, such as this one, bring together story, visual expression, music, and dance. People who wish to understand the film or some portion of its creation ask questions or make comments about how it has touched them in some way.. Others who are not enlightened just make stupid remarks.
