Or you could buy way MORE than enough potatoes to survive and then trade some of your potatoes for gold.

lexus, I agree. I would like to add that KD doesn't seem to believe what happened with paper money in Wiemar Germany. KD should also keep in mind that the only thing that saved the dollar during the 30's depression was gold. The dollar had something to back it up.

Buy gold, tunafish and lead pellets which have gunpowder behind them. If anyone asks for an oz of gold for a freaking bag of spuds, offer to pay them in hot lead instead.

Chunk Light IS cat food.

Everyone stockpile silver!.......and tuna!

you could also see if someone from somewhere else would buy one, wear it across the border as it's not very obvious as kevlar, and then sell it to you and then return without it. No one would normally notice such a thing.

Ya, same as being attempted in BC in Canada. It's all about ensuring the Sheeple get Sheared on schedule. I wish you well ... I suppose you could learn how to make kevlar. I imagine that will be difficult. However, silver paint can help you make a taser-proof jacket/gloves. Conducting layer outside, insulating layer inside (leather to stop those barbs).

lol! Nice!

Get this:
In NYC it's illegal to wear a kelvar vest or a stab proof vest. Nobody sells them and websites wont ship them here.
Can someone explain that BS law to me?

A friend of mine's father grew up in Weimar Germany during those times. He said he knew farmers that had barns full of valuable artwork, jewelry, furniture, and more just because they could produce FOOD.

@drutter Wow, that is an interesting story. They got to barter food for everything!
My grandma told me during the great depression the dentist had a garage full of chickens, because that is all they people could pay with.
