A train of that weight, even with both the emergency brake and the standard brake in action the train would keep moving about 60 meters.

Let me ask you all something, sure, it does look like the baby went under the traintracks, but honestly think about this:

Look at how the pram goes off the side, the baby would have a 90% chance of falling face first into the gravel, yet the reporter says he has only minor injuries? weird.
