From Brookings, Oregon to the central coast at Florence every mile of the coast is unbelievable. As you drive from Brookings going north you'll come to Port Orford, Bandon, and Coos Bay, with many other charming small towns in between.
The southern coast, known as the "Wild Rivers Coast" has many large rivers that meet the Pacific, and fishing ports are everywhere.
It's a long way to urbanization. The untouched character of most of the coast makes visiting it a unique experience.
Instead of malls, chain stores and freeways, the small towns and villages feature charming, unique, local shops and restaurants.
The ports and villages along the coast were settled long ago, and historical buildings are everywhere.
