@wax333 There is no article or proof saying toyota is general motors, they used to be affiliates in such a way that toyota made corollas badged as geo prisms and chevy prisms and also pontiac vibes are also made by toyota. But GM doesn't and did not make toyota automobiles. Exactly the opposite actually.

@Leo240sx thanks for that! Never knew much about the is300, don't have it hear in ireland... I'm still siding with the altezza just for the 4cyl sound seen as it puts out around the same power...

Problem with toyota is they got caught lying about auto service problems over the last six years, honda,GM,Chrysler etc didn't.Toyota was hiding their mistakes from their customers, as a result the cars are cheapies on the lots as folks get rid of them,fact is fact.

Altezza is a 3s-ge, 2litre vvti 220bhp yamaha tuned 4cylinder engine,
Lexus IS200 is a 6cylinder, aprox 150bhp

Altezza (SXE-10) is for JDM only.
Lexus IS200 (GXE-10) is basically an altezza with a straight 6 engine (1GFE, which is slower, 3GSE in the tezza), it is much heavier than the altezza. The suspension is slightly different too.
And altezza a pure weapon of a car? I think not. It's really slow. (0-60 in 7.2) But the chassis is fucking brilliant. Handles perfectly, you wouldn't think it weights over 1400kg.
Great car, sadly lacking in the engine department, still great though. And I got one.
