When I watched this movie, not only did I cry because Ray died, but because it was Disney 2D film. I was glad they went back to their roots. I'm tired of all their shitty CGI & Pixar movies (except for Tangled).

Great movie! Full price. I wished there was a duet love song between Tiana and Naveen. You know how other Disney Princess movies have that complete happily ever after effect (Beauty and the Beast- magical feeling, Little Mermaid- happy wedding, tearful goodbye, Aladdin- happy engagement)? This movie... It makes you feel happy, but there is something missing. Whatever it was, it was the same feeling I felt after watching Tangled the following year.

@Writerchic1 I agree but one other thing i would point out is that it's the black princess that wants to work for a living. The white princesses marry into luxury and don't have to do anything they don't want to. Almost all the disney "princesses" that aren't white don't marry up into real royalty with Rapunzel and Enchanted being the only exceptions. Jasmin married a theif, Pocahontas didn't end up with John Smith if you see the Sequel, just some random white guy.

I think the fact she spent more than half the movie as a frog is a GREAT injustice for having the first african american disney princess. Jasmine didn't spent half the movie as a dove. That is the ONLY reason I do not like this film. They cheated us, luring us into this story on the premise of Tiana being the first black disney princess, but it was a shame.
