Recorded in Feb/Mar 1993 at 6am. Starts with the Sky One Ident, then the re-vamped DJ Kat Show opening titles and finally the start of a Dick Tracy cartoon.

This tape seems old!

Yeah, very old! The audio is appalling unfortunately but I think that was also to do with the cable feed it was recorded from.

I really wish I did have some older DJ Kat Show stuff lying around, but one tape I had died and had to be thrown out. The other tape got taped over in the early 90s (tape re-use was needed considering VHS tapes weren't cheap to me and my mum back then).

I never understood why they called it The Dick Tracey show when Dick Tracey himself was usually in the show for an average of about two minutes while the cases were solved by a ridiculous cartoon comedy stereotype.

i used to literally run home from school to catch this. finish at 3pm, and dj kat show started at 3.30pm. i never missed this or the fun factory!! lol

the cartoon at the end was made by tribune broadcasting, the same people who own WGN-TV in chicago, and WPIX-TV in newyork city (look em up)
