Hellohello. This song was written as part of Contest de la Rocco #6 in 2006, and is directly inspired by the music of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (N64.) I've been holding out on uploading this for years since I was hoping a time would come where I could use MN64 samples to produce it. Well... that time HAS come :) and I made soundfont, too! It's available on my site, along with an mp3 of this song. The soundfont isn't totally 100% every instrument in the game, I was a bit lazy with it, but it covers most of the bases.

Special thanks to coda ( http://youtube.com/user/UuUuUuUuUuU ) and mudlord for their assistance! Without them, who knows how much longer I would have gone without being able to do this.

  • You know what's incredible? I've been very influenced by Mystical Ninja and loved all the samples that the game contained and was looking for a way to get them. I first looked up N64 music samples on Google which lead me to VGmusic where you posted a link to this video. I went there, and what do you know, the first time I hear samples rearranged into a new song, the samples are from Mystical Ninja. That makes me really happy. Thanks, and nice work! Really, you captured that essence! =)

  • @Godknown thanks, and glad to be of service! it's a game (and soundtrack) very dear to my heart too. plus the samples are superfun, i wanted them for years so it's great to finally have access to them.

  • How did you create the animation? I can just create MIDIS with MAM, but this isn't a MIDI is it?

  • @MiSha400 used music animation machine with Fraps with a midi without sound, then added the original audio to the video in windows movie maker. i'm not sure what you mean about creating midis in MAMplayer but all i did was play a midi in it.

  • This theme is perfect for a show like Naruto

  • Loving the polyrhythm in the second half.

  • @goniochromism Ah, that's a clever way ;)

Sorry, I meant the MAMPlayer is only compatible with MIDIS and not "I can just create MIDIS with MAMPlayer" ^^"

  • This is amazing work, Lunar! How did you rip those samples? I really need the samples from Wave Race 64. Could you please create a soundfont of this game? You'd be my hero!!!

  • Great work, Lunar! Adore the whole portion starting at 0:21.

  • Crazy! I think I wanna take a spin at some original composition with your soundfont as well! UGUUUUU
