Ah, yes; I recognize the ramp. Same muddy river, just further up! Come to think of it, some friends & I did a 'dare dip' in the St. Joe by North Side HS back in the early 70s...but it was MUCH warmer that day!

Where, and in which river did this take place? (Sorry: I didn't live in The Fort during the mid-90's!) I remember my dad used to take us to see these fools when I was a kid in the 60's...the Polar Bears went in the St. Joe at the Legion Hall by the Tennessee Ave Bridge at that time. No ramp, and the water there was always VERY nasty...swimmers would come up with debris stuck to them. Yuk! But, yeah, even as a kid I knew they were morons!

This was at the St. Joe river, at Johnny Appleseed Park. There is a boat ramp as you could see. This is also where the fire department usually does it's water rescue training (at least they launch from there). I'd not want to swim in the water either!
