You're right, progressives just get government thugs to do their violence for them, so they don't have to break a sweat or get their hands dirty. Progressives love to convince themselves that because their INTENT is to help the "little guy" they get to ignore history, economics and use coercion to force everyone to adopt their worldview - all because they are full of compassion and they "mean well".

So, because the People have been forced to pay for government-run programs over the decades and are now dependent on them because government killed competition and drove costs sky high, those people are not allowed to oppose further expansion of a failed system? Progressives love to pat themselves on the back for their enlightenment, but at the end of the day you will happily use violence to impose your world view on everyone else. So much for a free society.
